Versa app not showing GPS map beyond 20 km

I’m training for a 100 km hike for charity and my Versa never seems to record the map beyond 20km. If I walk 10 or15 km with the app open, it shows the GPS route map, but beyond 20 km I just get the circular loading arrow that never opens the route map. Is this normal or do I have a fault with my Versa? The app on my phone it open throughout. It’s v disappointing to walk so far and not have a route to post to friends and teammates. I’ve tried resetting the watch each time but it hasn’t helped.

Thanks for acknowledging my post.  However I’m not sure what you mean in your response.  Have you accepted this is a known fault with maps not showing if you cover a long distance/time? If so, when can I expect resolution?
