Versa backlight has increased & blocks view of clock and stats

For the last several months, the once thin line of light that lights up around the frame of the screen whenever the Versa turns on has become a very thick line--so thick that I am unable to read any notifications and very few clock faces are centered enough for me to see the time or stats. The thicker light on the left, right, and bottom of the screen blocks the text from view.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the details of the issue you're experiencing with your Versa screen. I understand that you're unable to read notifications and see your clock and stats. Thanks for trying to resolve this and I am here to help. I recommend doing the following:

 

  1. Switch to a Fitbit clock face if you're using a third party clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? 
  2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

I had the same thought. I've only ever used Fitbit clock faces since I got
my Versa about a year and a half ago. Several times over the past couple of
months, I've switched to a different Fitbit clock face and then restarted
my Versa, but the issue still persists. I've since tried a few non-Fitbit
clock faces to see if it made a difference, but it does not.
