Versa band doesn't fit watch

I have the woven purple band for my versa and it came with a second more workout appropriate black band but the black band is significantly wider than the woven one and there is no way to get it on the watch. Did they give me the wrong band?

Hey @DLA6, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! So in other words, it seems like it is not possible to attach the Versa wristband to the watch itself, right? I mean, like it won't fit it, even after reviewing the instructions in this help article: How do I change the wristband on my Fitbit device? Right? 

Could you please post a picture so I can take a look?
