Versa battery dies within 24hrs

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Good evening all,

My versa started out strong and the first month it lasted for 4-5 days, then all of a sudden it started lasting a day or less, I've changed absolutely nothing in my routine.

To try fix it I have done a factory reset, changed USB charging ports four times and don't use any third party apps. I have also switched to syncing once a day or once every two days.

fitbit customer services can't seem to pick up that it dies in a day they seem to think it lasts two days (perhaps that's because I only sync it every two days so they can't see it has died?)

any help will will be amazing

I had the same issue starting from last week.

The Versa works really fine to last for almost 4 days, I charged on the 3rd day.

I was happy with that.

But starting from last Sunday, it suddenly have battery drain issue. I did install some new app, new clock face.

But I did the factory reset, my Versa didn't come back. I contacted the support, but suggestions up to now is not helping.

I just started having this same issue as well. Only this weekend it started. I used to get 3 or 4 days out of it.

I am having the same exact issue.. was lasting 4 days until last week. Now it lasts less than 10hs. I charged it last evening, and this morning is 0%. I have not installed anything new in these days. Any help would be great.

Hi all,

The only options I can think of that seem to help (although maybe not solve the problem) is to turn off "Always Connected" and "All Day Sync".  These are HUGE battery draining options, hence, why I don't use them.

You could also try turning off any notifications that you want sent from your phone to the watch when you will be near your phone anyway and then turn them back on when you will be further away.  I agree, it's not the most convenient all the time, but having the notifications feature on requires you to have a Bluetooth connection between the Versa and the phone on all the time.  This tends to drain battery on both devices.  I only turn mine on when I know I'm going to be in a noisy area and may not hear my phone ring.

I did not change any setting, and I did not start using any feature I was not using befor last weekend. So there must be a different problem as I see many users reporting the same problem since last week. From lasting 4 days, to lasting less than 1 day after a weekend. This is not a settings or usage problem. I don’t even have music on it. I just use it to track steps and watch the time.

Same problem here, happening on my versa I've had for a few months now, just got a 2nd one last week and that one is not experiencing the same problem.

My versa will go from 100 to 10% in 5-7 hrs. Nothing changed on my end, except I switched to a fitbit clock face to see if that would resolve the issue. No luck.

Just started happening yesterday.

Yes, agree with you. As previous setting is default as "All day Sync" but still can last for almost 4 days.

I just worried that is the hardware issue and must return for a fix. That's what I don't want to happen.

I was pretty happy with it actually as it worked more than 3 days; but NOT for ~ 12 hours.

I have all these features on and mine lasts almost 6 days. I do notice an impact on my phone with all-day sync enabled but not so much on the watch. I do not have an "Always Connected" option though, using an iPhone.

A sudden drop like this has to be a software error. Was there an app update when it started happening?

I have same issue. Started few days ago also. And started making me fitbit clock run slow also. Tried a factory reset and now it doesn't turn on at all. Is anyone from fitbit going to help us?

Mine ended up not turning on any more. After. They did several test on it, I got a replacement.

I opened a topic on this, same problem since monday/tuesday. It last now 20-24 hours. I tried tried turn off all day sync, this doesn't work. Also treid a reset. Nothing works. It was 3-4 days before... 😞 I wonder if its a software problem since this is happening to a lot of us, or a hardware problem, I don't know if I have to wait for an update or if the battery is kind of broken. 😞  ps.

It's quite possible, although I'm not an app expert. In case it is, may I ask which version of the app you're running? Is it the latest version?

Check to see whether your heart rate sensor is still working... Mine seemed to have stopped, I ended up contacting support and getting a replacement.

Ordered the Amazfit Bip from someone suggestion here and it is actually pretty awesome.

Wish fitbit was more reliable. Been there many different types of fitbits.

Same problem, then it died completely. Fitbit offered a replacement if I mailed back the original. I did, and have waited four weeks for the replacement. Two envelopes came from Fitbit today: one has a wristband for a charge2, and the other envelope is empty. I am so done with Fitbit.

Mine is also dying.

It used to last 4days. Now it won't last 24 hours. I have tried factory reset, disabled all day sync and so on. It doesn't make any difference.

I had the same issue. Works really fine for 3-4 days. But sudden the battery drain really fast in a day.

Tried all setting, re-install & even factory reset. ALL had no luck.

Finally got a replacement and works fine again. Wish no such issue happen again after 2 months of us.

From my experience, go for a replacement is the only option.

I had the exact same issue since last week. Before that, it was able to last at least 3-4+ days.

I think i went to update the IOS app and also the updated the watch "settings" section as requested in the mobile app. after that, the watch battery started to drain like nobody business.

any solution?
