My Versa battery used to last up to 4days... now I barely get 12hrs. Have tried resetting... no change. Is this a known fault now? Refund??

Glad to hear you're getting a replacement! Fitbit customer service support is awesome, and they do try their best. How's the replacement working out? Is your battery lasting now? Definitely sounds like you had a defective one. I just posted in another thread that sometimes clock faces can drain the battery, and I advised them to change the clock face and experiment with different ones. I have two friends who experienced a horrible battery drain on their Versas and come to find out it was the clock face. Also, a restart can fix a number of things, including battery issues. Not always but sometimes.
I charged my Versa yesterday at 10 a.m., took it off the charger, wore it all day, played with my apps quite a bit, reading news, notifications, even listened to some music, and still had a 92 percent charge at 10 p.m. I would say that's closer to the norm.

That's what happened to mine! I've had it since May and it's been great up until this week. Now, it dies overnight and the first I know about it is when I'm late as the alarm hasn't gone off!!!
Really not sure what the problem is, no changes in apps or usage! Still has the factory ones I think, with one click face that's been on it since day one and never caused a problem!

I have the same issue I charge my versa yesterday it was at 80% and I just checked and the battery is at 40%. this is my 3rd versa the other two I had a charger problem they wouldn't charge and the screen went black. But this is the last time I will be going back to the versa because I should have a better battery life I shouldn't be charging the Versa everyday

I am having the same issue. I have had my versa for 2 years and never experienced this problem until recently and I have not changed any of the settings. It's very frustrating. I have owned the charge hr, the blaze and now the versa. One of my favorite things about the versa is that the charge would last a few days but now I can charge it all the way to 100% in the morning, it's 50% by the time I go to bed and then it will completely die at around 2am. How can I fix this?

Same thing happens with my versa. It used to last for 4 days max. But, now I’m lucky if it last for 12 hours. This is so aggravating!

I cleaned just like it said and now it really doesn't want to charge. I only had my Fitbit versa for a year. I really don't reccomend buying it nothing but trouble with it. Don't waste your money on it.

I have done all of your suggestions. I have also initiated a factory reset. This battery drain all happened suddenly, I get less then 12 hours of battery life and before that around 4 days. I have had this Fitbit Versa less than a year. Is there any kind of warranty on this? It appears Amazon no longe has replacement batteries. I think I should have kept the Garmin Vivofit 4 that Silver and Fit gave out to seniors. I gave those to my kids. My wife has a (Fitbit Versa 2) I gave her for Christmas, so far that one is good. I gave away all my other fitness watches thinking this was the answer but am very disappointed. I like the device, just not the battery issues.

@Ken71 Welcome to the Fitbit Community!
Sorry to hear about your Versa's battery draining quickly. Our devices do have warranty and you can check it here. The battery isn't replaceable but you can try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.
Let me know how it goes.

My battery would go about 20% in 24 hours for two years. Now it’s 50% in 3 hours. I’ve cleaned the contacts, reset the device, no help. No changes on the device itself, it just started draining unexplainably.
Please let me know if you find the answer to this before I have to buy another device.

I actually never got an answer and finally broke down and bought the Versa
2. I gave my other Versa to a friend and it has been working fine for
him. It will stay charged for up to 4 days for him. Not sure if it did a
software update that fixed the draining battery bug or what, but the
battery is staying charged now. Figures after I already bought a Versa 2,
huh? Best of luck trying to fix yours. If you haven't already, maybe try
powering it down and back on again?

Mine is fully charged, but the screen won't stay on... And after I
disconnect it from the cradle for 30 seconds, the screen reads "0%" and
shuts off. I plug it back up to the cradle, and then it goes into a series
of power cycles and boot cycles...
It's essentially made the device unusable.
I just installed the update, but it seems like it's doing the same thing.
I'm THIS close to just getting an Apple Watch. 😕

How long have you had the Versa? I had to convince Fitbit that I actually only had the Fitbit for use for less than 12 months since I got it as a gift. Their customer support is very good and they will offer you a discount on a new Versa or Versa 2 etc. and they take you to a special site the shows the cost you have to pay. My son has an Apple Watch and has had not problems after about 1 1/2 to 2 years of use. They do a lot more and I think are very reliable. But don’t give up on trying to get a deal with Fitbit support.

Having the same issue. Two days ago, my fitbit battery would last 4-5 days, but now lasts about four hours. No 3rd party apps or watch face, normal usage, updated firmware and app on a Galaxy 10+ What happened? Any other tips, I don't think it's software.

I searched YouTube for a fix after trying all of the suggestions from Fitbit. My battery wouldn’t last half a day until I reset it to factory default settings. I’m on day 3 of the same charge so it apparently fixed the problem.
