Good Morning All,
A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my Versa was dying VERY fast. I bought the Versa this last Christmas for my wife, brother and myself. They are not having these issues. I have tried charging from 3 different chargers and I get the same result. I noticed last night that while charging the screen would turn on and off while sitting on my side table. At 5:00 this morning after charging all night it was at 100%. Now while sitting here typing this message I look at the watch and it is on and off. my wrist is not moving. It should not be turning on. I have deactivated the quick view in the app and it still turns on and off. Also Screen Wake on my watch is turned to off yet it still turns on after only being off for 1 second. I have a video if it helps. I am a FitBit guy for the last 7 years. I tend to upgrade every year or so. I would hate to have to switch to another mfg.

Hope this helps.

I have but it doesn't help. It used to work up to 4 days a charge until a week or so ago. It drains within a few hours.

Mine dies within 1 day. I've switched back to the original clock faces only, I've dimmed the light and turned off the instant view mode and it just seems to have shorter and shorter battery life. My watch is about 30-45 days old so im pretty annoyed.

Happening suddenly to mine as well. I’ve tried all the fixes and it doesn’t matter. Was at 100% this morning and not even half way through my day, is at 41%. It obviously won’t even last a full day for me anymore. It happened so suddenly which is not normal if it were just the battery wearing out. I already fought to get this replaced once when it was under warranty because it would suddenly stop tracking exercise in the middle of my workout. I know they will do nothing but maybe send me a coupon. No thanks. All of the troubles with the Versa and support making me jump through hoops to honor their warranty have made this avid Fitbit person (Versa was my third. The other two I had for years and were great) decide to go replace with an Apple Watch.

It seems a lot of people including myself are having battery issues recently with the Fitbit Versa. Was there a software or firmware change made recently that would cause this? Offering to give us 35% off is not useful. Thanks for your prompt response.
Also the link to the battery tips does not work. It keeps giving the same page over and over. Please have this corrected.
The link to the tips to extend battery life does not work. Please test it and have it corrected. Thank you.
Same thing happened to me. I called customer support and we tried a few troubleshooting steps and then she told me I needed a replacement watch and sent me a coupon for 35%. Big deal. I'm not buying a new watch. And then suddenly the watch started working fine. The time corrected itself with a reset. I think they are making software changes and that's what's causing all these recent issues for everyone.

I have had the same watch face since I bought this watch nearly 3 yrs ago and haven't made any changes to settings etc. during this time yet this past month the battery has been dying VERY quickly. I charged it this morning to 100% & now just over 12 hrs later, it's 22%. That said, what will you do to fix this issue since none of the things listed above would be the sudden reasoning behind the drainage?

I’ve had the same experience. After 7 years of multiple Fitbit watches I’m done. My Versa 2 is 14 months old and lasts 5 hours on a full charge. Fitbit’s solution is I should purchase a new watch…..which I will….with their competition. Thanks for the great advice Fitbit, my new Apple Watch is on the way.

This is very strange:
I purchased my fitbit versa 2 on July 24th 2021 from Amazon. I love this fitbit and what it offers for me. I could have bought something newer but after comparing to other available models the Vers 2 fit what I was looking for at the price point.
July 24th 2022 to the day a year later my fitbit Versa 2 goes blank on the screen. I put it on the charger and it comes back to life. However now the batter will not last more than 8 hours. I read the different tricks and suggestions to do to troubleshoot but still it will not hold a battery life more than 8 hours. I have been a loyal fitbit owner for many years and I am hoping that fitbit is not manipulating the software to drain the battery to force owners to upgrade.
I am a business owner and if this is the case you are jeopardizing your company. You have built a great idea and products but don't let your desire to increase your margins to short cut the needs your products were designed to meet.
If this is the case you are in danger of losing your customers and investors.

This did not work for me and all of my faces/clocks are by Fitbit only also. This device is only 2 years old. I’d hate to think an item of this cost would go bad so quickly!

Sometimes they just go junk. I had one that did this eventually and it’s probably may be from charging on charging towers using the incorrect amperage. I just bought a used one online today for $20. Luckily not very expensive didn’t come with a charger and I had the charger but it is draining 1% every several minutes. Won’t last but a day or two this way and it’s supposed to last much longer. I’m pretty familiar with them. I’ve had them and been using Fitbit for years. Sometimes it just happens especially if they are dead for a long time.
