Versa battery draining quickly and not syncing after firmware update

Have been complaining to Fitbit support on disastrous update, My Versa, which used to work brilliantly is not just a watch. Fitbit support keep sending me instructions to do all sorts, which I have. All I want is for them to issue a fix for two things: (1) battery drainage (which Fitbit is still not acknowledging even though there are lots of posts here), and (2) unable to sync on my phone app (realised my Samsung phone is no longer on the list of supported phones since the update). Below is their latest instruction:

Upon checking our records here, it looks like the features we need off for the battery drain test to be successful was left turned on. Please turn off the listed features and retry the battery drain test:

  • Heart rate
  • Reminders to move
  • Notifications
  • Quick view

Once done turning off the said features, charge the watch to 100% once more and wear it 'til the battery drains while making sure to sync the device 5-6 times daily.  We'll continue monitoring this case and we appreciate your efforts in working with us.
Out of the four features, three have been turned off since the Versa played up. I have now turned off the heart rate. I doubt if this set of instructions will work - it's a ploy to buy time.

I am bitterly sad with Fitbit's response to this fault.
