Versa battery drains quicky after swim

I've had my Versa for about 9 months without any issues. I swam with it afew days ago for the first time. First, I thought the Fitbit had died forever. I had to put it in rice overnight and then charge for about 6 hours and it finally came back on. However, the battery drains from 100% to 0% in about 5 hours. It lasted three to four days before I took it for a swim. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Customer service is telling me to factory reset it.  I'm concerned that won't even help.

Listen to the experts and do a factory reset. If that doesn't work, make a warranty claim.
