Have you restarted it? To do a soft reset (which won't cause you to lose any progress), just hold down the left and bottom right buttons on the Versa until you feel a slight vibration and see the Fitbit logo.
For the hard reset (which will wipe out your progress, so you might want to sync before you start the procedure), swipe left until you see "Settings" then tap "About" and then "Restore To Factory Settings" and follow the prompts.

Hey @Irishdancerab, welcome to the Fitbit forums! You can try the suggestions that my friend @DramaQueenDiva posted above about trying a restart and/or a factory reset and after that, please fully charge your Versa and take a look at the tips in this post to make it's battery last longer. Keep an eye on the battery level during the day and if the issue persists, let me know. I will continue assisting you.
Let me know how it goes!

Just got the Versa for Christmas and I'm having the same issue. Fully charged at night and dead in 3 hours

I am also having the same issue. My Versa worked great and I was very pleased with its performance. It was lasting on avg 5 days, with all of the auto features turned on, before I would have to recharge it. The about 4/5 days ago, all the sudden it won’t hold a charge for more than 24hrs. I have tried numerous suggestions that I have read on the forums (restarting it, charging to full 100%, turning off auto-sync, etc.); however, am having no luck. HELP!

I updated my Fitbit yesterday morning and left in charge all day, wore it to bed and woke up to it dead flat, so charged it all day again today. Now I’ve had it off charge for an hour and it’s already at 80% 😡 I’m getting frustrated
