Versa battery lasting less than a day

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I have the original versa, about 3 years old now but ive never had any issues. The last week or so though I find my versa losing battery in less than a day, after a full charge. When it would usually last me 2 - 3 days with heavy use of music and exercise. Whereas just sleeping or sitting drains it now. I've done factory reset, turned off and on several times and still to no avail. I charged it half an hour ago and its already dropped to 92%.

Hi @Xcinda, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Fitbit Versa is draining fast. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

Please try the tips that are listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your Versa. After this, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see it the battery doesn't drain fast.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi,

I've done quite a lot of research before contacting on the forum.

What's suggested on the url you provided i've already checked.

* Temperature of room is not below 0 celcius or above 45 celcius
* Device screen only turns on when I press the screen or button
* Brightness was on auto
* It's the Versa 1 so doesn't have an always-on display
* Doesn't have built in GPS uses phone for that
* Notifications are off, i only get reminders to move or if ive hit a goal
* Only use music at the gym, in which i expect to have to charge after but lately a 1 hour gym session with battery of 40% i risk it dying due to using exercise and music for one hour
* Clock face is the original Fitbit clockface

As mentioned before i've even done a factory reset. I have a feeling the battery drainage has become an issue since the most recent software update of the 'active zone minutes'. Is it possible the latest update is affecting my watches performance?

Thanks,

Cinda
