Versa battery suddenly dying

Has anyone else experienced this issue: the battery is charged almost fully, let's say between 80-100%, and then suddenly you notice the watch has turned itself off and shows 0% when trying to reboot it.

This has happened a few times to me over the last few weeks now and it's starting to become annoying. This does not seem to be not a case of battery drain, I don't notice any drops in % it just suddenly switches off. When this doesn't happen the device easily lasts 4 days, with the exact same usage. So I cannot tell what is causing this.

Looking for some input before I contact support about this.

My Fitbit Versa reaches the 1 year mark and is exactly the same. The Fitbit won’t charge and it’s now dead. It has 2 year manufacturer warranty and I took it back few days ago to get a replacement..

Fitbit did respond to my situation and had me charge the device then allow the battery to wear down over several days. I no longer charge my versa daily as I had been but wait until it is at a low battery percentage of 15-20%. It has been working fine since. Thank you for your response. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

When you go to your fitbit page on your phone, if you tap on your picture, on the left, then scroll down  you'll see help. Tap on that then you'll see ways to contact them... i took a picture of that screen to help. You still might want to do it on your phone so that it all is connected.  Hope this helps.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

My Versa has been solid for the past year, but within the past week it has been "dropping out of site" of my S10.  I have noticed also that I am having to recharge more frequently.  Last night, I went to bed with a full charge.  According to the FitBit app, my battery was completely drained within two hours.  Thankfully, I always have a backup alarm on my phone set.  I have had almost every FitBit since the Flex.  My experience has been that once these type of problems occur, it is best to just demand a replacement.

Definitely get in touch with them. I had been charging mine daily. Fitbit suggested that I let it go till it's very low and then charge it. Mine fitbit has been fine since.  Good luck with yours. They are pretty responsive. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I am also having problems with my Fitbit Versa.

I have tried all of the suggestions, to the point that the Versa is pretty much useless for me. I have the screen dimmed, so I often I can't even read it. I am charing my Versa twice a day. I charge it at night before I go to bed, for about 2 hours. By the time I get up in the morning, usually, after less than 8 hours, my Versa has been on sleep and I usually have around 56-58% charge left. I put my Versa on to charge, make sure that I keep my Versa on sleep, don't use GPS, don't use music, have all notifications turned off, don't use any apps etc on my phone. Doing that, with the double charge my Versa is lasting the day and has about 11% charge left by 7pm.

I have tried turning my Versa off and then on again to see if that will help. I have my Versa set so that it doesn't turn on when I turn my wrist etc. A watch that has this lack of functionality is not worth it. I can't even use my Versa as a straight watch let alone a FitBit.

I was having trouble with my heart rate monitor not working now it's always at my peak rate. Then yesterday my battery started draining. I charge it and it was at 100% at 8AM it's 5:30 and it's at 39% and I haven't even worked out. It's only 1 year old. Anyone else having issues?

My Versa was only about 8 weeks old. So, when I wrote to Fitbit on their chat page they very kindly said that they would send me out a new Versa. I am still waiting for the new one and am using my old Charge 2 in the meantime. But, my understanding is that I will be getting a replacement. Fitbit was very good at troubleshooting with me and then making the decision that it was definitely a faulty battery.

I agree that Fitbit is usually very responsive to problems and directs you to various possible solutions for issues that you might be having.  The solution to my Fitbit dying was to not charge it as often as I had been charging it, (I was charging it while I was getting ready for work each morning). Now, I charge it every 3-4 days and I haven't had a problem with it since...  Good luck to you.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Ah, that would have been nice. Mine ended up not even lasting a full 12 hours. I was getting seven-hour of battery from fully charged (2-3 hours on the charger) to dead flat, no sign of life at all. So, that wasn't an option for me.
