Versa battery won't charge

I just got my versa a week or two ago, the battery ran out during a 12 hour work shift, so I popped it on the charger when I got home (it had been working perfectly before this).  Screen has not woken up since.  That was days ago now. Its like its just dead.  I have plugged the charger in to multiple places, my phone is charging beautifully from the same sources.  Who do I call/where do I send my Versa to get a replacement?

Hi My FitBit Versa has just stopped charging. Ran out of battery whilst I was at work, and now won't charge. Tried multiple Sockets and USB ports.

Please help!

try putting a rubber band around Versa when in charger. It might be that
Versa not making contact with charger pins.

good luck

I didn't have a rubber band so I used a hair band and it's not made any
difference 😞 it was working fine last time I charged it.

Try pressing down gently on Versa clock face when in charger. If problem is
not making contact with pins on charger, this should help. Otherwise it
seems charger is defective. Charger would need to be replaced in both cases.
Also make sure 4 gold contact points on back of Versa are not worn out.

Hold down all buttons until you see the fitbit logo, as soon as you see that then plug it back in and it should begin charging!

Just had the exact same problem and this worked for me on the first try! Thanks so much!

How long should we hold the buttons down?

After looking all over to problem solve, your suggestion was the one that worked for me! While I am thankful, I find it worriesome that an actual Fitbit person hasn't offered anyone here a solution that helped.

I had the same problem as everyone else.  Low battery at 9% last night.  When I plugged in to charge, it didn't and suddenly the whole thing was dead.  Tried different USBs, outlets, etc and nothing.  I left it plugged in overnight in the hopes that SOMEthing would happen but... nope.  Now, after trying AustinFarus' suggestion, it not only turned on but it somehow had 88% charge.  It did still think it was yesterday but a quick sync solved that problem and now it's charging just fine.  Frustrating and weird but at least it came back to life.

Thanks, Austin!

This isn’t working for me. When I hold all the buttons down, I just see 0% - meaning it’s totally dead.  Help!  I have only had my Versa for 2 months!

Also - it’s not the USB  or the fact that the charger buttons aren’t making contact.  Aargh!

I had the same issue with my Versa that I'd had less than a month (from QVC).  After working with FitBit they sent me a replacement Versa but I was instructed to keep my bands and charger.  Well the new Versa arrived (3 days ago - after almost a 10 day mailing time).  Thankfully it was fully charged because I am having the same problem of no charging after plugging into multiple ports, including my computer.  I've come to the conclusion the charger itself must be bad and ordered a two-pack of replacement chargers from Amazon (about $9 for highly rated chargers) rather than wait another 10 days for a replacement from FitBit.  They should arrive tomorrow and I will update my response then.

Did you plug charger directly in to a wall outlet instead of another port?
Wall outlet should give you the most power.

Thanks for responding!  The charger is a USB, so I plugged it into my laptop USB port, which was plugged into the wall.  I assumed it was a charger problem, but when Fitbit sent the new Versa as a replacement, the charger worked.

Candace - interesting. Fitbit sent me a new one, too - just the watch face - but it arrived quickly, maybe 2-3 days. My new one, so far, is working and charging. good luck!

How did the replacement chargers work out for you?

It has worked perfectly. I was actually sent a new, packaged Versa after the ordeal I went through to have it replaced.  Not certain if original Versa was a due or not as I sent it back and received the replacement.

I got my Versa at Christmas. It's now packed up. I rang support and they basically just went through everything that I had already read and done on the website.  It was nearly £190 and I've already had issues syncing as well. I'm not happy at all and really not impressed with this. I'm taking it back to John Lewis

I am so bummed out my Fitbit does not charge . I just received it as a Christmas present and I have taken really good care of it so I do not see how it’s not charging 😞

I believe the problem is the chargers and not the Versa itself. I ordered
an off brand two pack from Amazon for about $10 and have had no further
issues. Try that before returning because I now love my Versa.
