Versa battery won't charge

I just got my versa a week or two ago, the battery ran out during a 12 hour work shift, so I popped it on the charger when I got home (it had been working perfectly before this).  Screen has not woken up since.  That was days ago now. Its like its just dead.  I have plugged the charger in to multiple places, my phone is charging beautifully from the same sources.  Who do I call/where do I send my Versa to get a replacement?

Chances are the problem is with the charger contact points meeting the
Versa. A temporary fix (until you request a replacement charger from Fitbit
or buy one from the internet) is to try wrapping a rubber band around the
charger cradle so that the Versa is pressed against the pins on the charger
(to make contact).

Good luck....Harwax

Absolutely correct! I could crack the face before it touches the contacts. Faulty engineering. As Baby Trump would say, "So sad..."

I tried holding down all of the buttons but this did not resolve the issue. It was working fine last night when I put it on the charger.  This morning the battery appears completely dead and will not charge.  I have tried numerous charging sources.  The Versa is 1 month old.

I swear it's the lousy chargers that come with the Versa. Since I bought a
two pack of an off brand from Amazon for $10 I've had no further issues.

Thank you so much for this solution.  The three buttons worked!  I thought after almost exactly one year it had died.  Just a quick note that afterwards you may need to sync with FitiBit app to get date/time correct again.

I replaced my Versa as it would not charge regardless of what I tried. In addition to the charging issue it lost connectivity to my wireless.  The Fitbit app indicated a low battery and also showed WiFi connectivity issues, and by this time the Versa showed no sign of life.  I talked to Fitbit and they  concluded the the device was bad and sent a replacement which is working fine. I appreciate all of the responses.

Although my off brand chargers worked, Fitbit sent me a new unit also. I assume early on the Versa has had issues, but all seems well now.  Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for your response.  Evidently, my original battery charger is working as that is what I am using with the replacement Versa.  If I have another charging issue, I will also purchase an off-brand from Amazon.

@AustinFarus25 Thanks for sharing this troubleshooting suggestion!

For anyone else who comes across any issues charging up your Versa, please try giving it a restart.

I've had this issue before and a restart will usually resolve the problem. Make sure you are also following our steps for charging your device

If you've tried the restart, other troubleshooting steps like changing the USB port to another outlet, then please don't hesitate to contact our Support team so they can offer further assistance. If a faulty charger is the culprit they can help with a replacement. Let me know if there are any questions!

I have replaced the Versa. It would not charge, it would not reset, it
would not connect to the WIFI. I tried everything that was recommended to
restore the device and nothing worked. It was 1 month old and it was
useless.

Thanks

George

Once again, I want to stress I don't believe it is the Versas themselves
but the crappy chargers that come with the units. Ordered a two pack of
off brand chargers from Amazon for $10ish and have no problems since.

Perhaps the charger contributes to the issue. However, the replacement
Versa with the same charger seem to be working fine. At least so far.

Thanks for your response.

If your replacement charger isn't working, contact FitBit customer
service. They were responsive to sending me a new unit immediately and
that one as well as the original worked and are both charging with the
replacement but not the original charger.

In my case, one day the FITBIT worked OK and the next day (following
putting it on the charger) - nothing. The Versa would not charge nor
connect to my wireless. It would no reset and I tried everything anyone
recommended. The only thing I notice amiss prior to my issue was a very
short battery charge life which seemed to get shorter and shorter each day.
When I talked to Fitbit they asked me to try and change the clock picture
on the device which I did with zero results. They then said that they were
sending me a replacement.

While my versa is on the charger, the battery icon acts likes is charger but after hours, it is still at 0%. I cleaned the charger and the watch. I have tried different outlets, chargers, etc.

Not sure what to do that this point.

My versa is only a few few months old.

Hello

Ive found myself with the same problem as most users on this thread.

Ive tried all the solutions offered, restarting, deactivating certain feature. However I still can't get more than 7 hours battery.

Can any fitbit admin please help. I only purchased this in April last year so should still be under warranty
