My screen is not working, everything else is like the vibrations and that little green light at the back. But the screen doesn’t do anything when I touch it or when I touch a button. Even when I charge it it doesn’t react does anybody know what to do?

Yes they did. They sent me an order form asking which one I had and which color, so I got the rose gold versa again

I had it for 6 months.

So was your damaged watch less than 1 year old?

so I think that is the difference. They told me mine was out of warranty but I am frustrated because it should not have just shut down like this without any exterior damage

I tried to send you a message @AlejandraFitbit to discuss my matter privately but it would not allow. Can you contact me directly?

Welp, finally happened to me. I purchased my Versa special edition in May of 2018 and the display is already dead. I started experiencing whiteout on the display and it finally died tonight. I am unable to power the device on and I have tried the various methods to reset it. I have owned Fitbits all the way back to the first generation Flex, ChargeHR and finally the Versa. I believe this device should last longer than a year and a half. Maybe it's time to try something else.
Thanks

@tyshone im sorry. Its so frustrating and disappointing. I really wish someone who works for #fitbit would help us w the replacement rather than me having to buy a new one

Craaap.
This is obviously a VERY common issue!! My versa started to go weird a few months ago, I did ask somewhere back then but can't remember where. It was getting lines across it and the screen was going black randomly.
I did all the full reset, reboot and suggested fixes crap and it did nothing.
Then my versa just started working again! It worked For about 2 weeks but without the heartrate function so apart from steps and time, it did nothing else. The Heart rate reader on the back didn't flash or anything. Then it just completely died! The screen lights up but it's just black. Nothing else but a black (I'm guessing backlit?) Screen. Heart rate reader still not working, it's charging as far as I know. But it's totally useless!! It's been probably 3-4 weeks since it died. Have just been so busy I haven't had a chance to look into it yet! Now I'm not feeling positive 😕
I never wore it in water, not the shower, pool, beach, any water ever. It was not dropped, stepped on, hit, damaged at all in any way. It just died. I'm devastated!!
We definitely cannot afford to buy a new one, this one was a present and t this stage I am pretty sure it is under a year old...
What do I do??

Agreed, I really love the Fitbit app. If not for it and the Fitbit community, I would have left a long time ago.

If you're under a year, Fitbit would likely replace your tracker under warranty. I had a couple of Flex devices replaced under warranty. I would definitely take a chance and call support. With my current device being over a year and four months old, I am likely out of luck.
Good luck to you!

If it’s under a year they will replace it it at no cost. Over a year and they will give you a discount on a new one. I’ve had 2 and my last one was over a year. Went on line and found out the Versa is very low on the consumer reports - the black screen is a recurring problem with most of them. So I got the Charge 3 which had good reviews and am so much happier

Thanks for your insight @nadi83 The problem is I really liked the ability to reply to messages from my wrist especially during my job and my workouts . Does the Charge 3 allow for that?

I have had my versa for over a year, maybe a bit longer and it’s been working well. Today suddenly the screen is black. I have tried to reset by pushing the buttons as advised ( is the back button just the button on the left?) but I can’t get it to reset. It’s working on the ap so still logging my steps but can’t see the screen. Please help. Thanks

Has anyone had this issue (random black screen on versa) then it started working again? I literally never got my watch wet, or hit it ect. I owned it a couple months over a year.
I have tried everything, even contacted support, and they said the watch is done. Then they sent me a discount code, for like a couple of their older watches. The code doesn't even apply to the current versa, just the lite which I dont want. I'm beyond disappointed with their customer support. I'm a long time Fitbit lover and this may be what it takes for me to switch to the Samsung smart watch.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to revive your existing Fitbit Versa. Only because of the change in screen technology, LCD vs AMOLED with the Versa 2, and my dependence on the Fitbit app and community is why I decided to give Fitbit another try. I'm hoping the Versa 2 will out live the life of my original Versa. If not, Samsung will be my next choice for active wear.

I had my fitbit Versa Lite for less than a week and the screen went black and died. I was SO disappointed. I was able to return it to the retailer. I am now unsure about investing in another after seeing how common this issue is.

How is it possible to set up the device if the screen is black? It is not possible to see the 4 digit code on the screen of the watch 😞 So why do you suggest it as the solution 😞
Very disappointed in the fitbit support. I have the exact same issue as described in the original post. 1 year warranty and 200 euros thrown away. And I really love the watch though, when it was working. 😞

Don't buy a Fitbit versa. Actually don't buy any Fitbit. My warranty expired about a month ago. Screen went black (found out that this is popular issue with this model). They offered me a discount for buying a new one. However I checked the regular prices and they're the same as the ones they're offering me. There's no solution. I regret buying 2 new bands (which were not cheap) recently. This is my 3rd Fitbit in 3 years. They make them to last 1 year. I'm done with this brand

I am pretty upset with the situation, my screen went black. I didn’t even have my watch for 2 years, so maybe they are only made to last a year, who knows🤷🏽:female_sign: My warranty expired and the best they could offer me was a discount to a watch that I didn’t have. Ugh
