So angry and frustrated. My Versa (less than a month old) has died this morning, nothing, nada, zero, blank screen. It won't charge up it won't do anything. It was fine yesterday with a full charge not this morning nothing and I lost a whole work out!

It lasted exactly a month beyond the warranty. The screen went blank and no amount of hard resets (factory resets) and other tricks from online forums failed to revive the blank screen. A quick call to Fitbit today just put a stamp on my fear when the warranty expires so does their interest in a faithful customer! Wiser after spending $199 x2 (bought another one for my father) and a year later...I'm a customer no more of Fitbit products for the foreseeable future. C'est la vie...

Same just happend to my versa... First a single stripe in the top off the screen.. Restart resulted in a very vague FItbit logo initially.. Black screen since and remains after what is now reset number 30... Even tried factory reset.. End of fitbit device number 6.. And for me finally end as a fitbit customer.. The competition is getting better by the day.
I have found the support to very poor over the years, so wish you all the best of luck.

My device was working OK up to a few hours ago then this morning screen is black. Still alarms worked, connects to phone, visible HR light on back pulsing but nothing on screen. I'm able to see HR on my phone. So I followed your instructions and restarted it and it worked. Thanks cbwilsha!

Having same issue. I was able to hold all buttons and it restarted then next day battery dead again. put on charger when done took off (screen was working). got a notification (vibrated) and went to check it and nothing screen black again and no button holds are working. I know its on because it vibrates when i get calls, my alarm goes off and its tracking my steps to my app. but I cant see anything. fit bit says its not because of latest update but why are so many versa users having this issue at the same time and when all watches are not the same age. things that make you go hmm.
My sons fitbit versa 2 that he got for christmas is not affected

Nothing appears on screen. screen is on and tracking alarm works, notification and calls work cause it vibrates but cant see anything. tried all the button holds. Nothing happens and battery is dying after just a day it normally last a week.

Unfortunately, happened to me as well. My Versa 1 died after (3 replacements), but a year of no issues. Then I order the Versa 2 from Amazon and am super-pleased with it. Lasted just under 30 days before the screen died. It was still "on" because it recorded steps, but I couldn't get the screen to stay on even after factory resetting, hard rebooting etc.
Was able to exchange it via Amazaon and have another new Versa, but in the interim I've gotten an Apple Watch. Needless to say, Fitbit definitely has "nailed" the metrics, presentation, etc. for fitness, but I will say, Apple is doing a really good job of catching up here.
With a $3 app you can do sleep tracking which is just as good (potentially better) than Fitbits, still has step tracking, but you also have activity monitoring, standing monitoring, all kinds of health monitoring, etc. Yes at first I was focused on the loss of functionality, but now (3 weeks later), I think the Apple Watch is at least as good as the Fitbit for fitness/health related content, and potentially better in many ways.

I actually ended up going back to a gear, active 2. I have Samsung phone. The Gear is pretty compatible to my fit bit versa. Biggest complaint is Gear doesn't connect to my dicks sporting good app. But I can actually answer calls from my gear.
