I am unable to turn up the brightness on my Fitbit Versa. It is that low I can't see the clock to swipe up and navigate. Only had it since last week and its been stuck like this for a few days, how annoying! Can anyone recommend anything? I've got it linked to my phone and I can't seem to work out a way to get the screen to show. Tried in diff kinds of light too.

Thanks @Zee-Data for solving my problem! I had the same issue that several others reported, that my brightness had somehow been set to dim, but the brightness setting was grayed out so I couldn't change that. Now I found the sleep mode setting and turned it off, so I can read the screen again! 🙂

Thank you! I did the same; accidentally selecting Sleep Mode while changing bands or something. Solution much appreciated as I couldn't see my screen!

What if your settings doesn't list "brightness"?

I went into settings to my brightness section where it says it's on dim but the whole brightness section is not even highlighted so when you touch it it doesn't move

Absolutely didn't work for me because when I went into settings and brightness the brightness section and it shows it's on them is not highlighted so are you are incapable of changing anything

Having the exact same problem the settings section of the Versa the brightness is stuck on dim and the word brightness isn't highlighted like some of the other options so you can press it all you want nothing changes, and I can barely see it

Will my sleep mode is not on it's never been on and I'm reading a lot of messages and there are several several people were there brightness section under settings is on them stuck on them and the word brightness isn't even highlighted so you can't change anything this is getting ridiculous for such an expensive smartwatch

Sleep mode is "on" in your watch settings.
BTW Fitbit will not solve this for you, but they are willing to sell you a new watch

I'm having the same problem and I also can not change sleep mode, do not disturb and screen wake all are dimmed out and do not work. I can not see my watch outside because dim is on. I have shut down and restarted watch but it's apparent that the settings app is the problem

Thank you for sharing that I hit my quick settings and was able to take off sleep mode and all my other functions came back on. Some how I must of hit quick settings and put sleep mode on and apparently could only take sleep mode off in quick settings.
