Versa calls notification not working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Had the 32.32.10.20 update for a few days now and have noticed that whilst notifications in general are working, including replies, call notifications had stopped working. All I was getting was a missed call notification after the ringing ended. The test call notification worked fine. Been playing around with settings and one that I changed was transliteration. Call notifications started working again. Odd.

UPDATE: Spoke too soon ... broken again 🤔

Oh and for the support team, I have already done the following:

  • Restart phone
  • Reboot Versa
  • Checked that notifications are enabled
  • Reinstalled Fitbit app

Unfortunately, I broke the screen on my S7 Edge on 5/28. I bought a S9+ and I am receiving all notifications. A few hiccups in the beginning, but all is fine at this time. Paying off the ballance of the S7 Edge and buying a new phone was not what I wanted as the solution to not receiving notifications on my Versa nor is it one I recommend. Good luck to all who continue to experience problems receiving notification for texts and /or calls. By the way, Fitbit had begun to work closely and earnestly with me toward finding a solution.

I was having same problem. All alerts, call, text etc. stopped without any reason.

I pressed the left button on my versa watch and turned on "Notifications" and I start getting alerts now.

Hope it keeps working. I advise all to try that.

I don't know how my notification settings on my versa got turned off! ... but I followed these steps and all my notifications started coming through.

On your versa:

Hold the left button > swipe left.

You will then get to your quick settings. Make sure the notifications are turned on.

I thought that just because the notifications were "on" under the setting when you clicked in that tool/settings icon on the versa itself.  Hope this helps.

If not, follow these steps:

Ant chance you might actually test the Huawei models ? Only the second biggest global manufacturer of phones now, yet nothing made in the last 2 years appears on your list.....

My notifications on the app and my versa are both on and my phone is supported.  Not getting text or call notifications since the last upgrade.

I have a Versa 2 and seems like calls are only coming thru to my phone if the Fitbit app is open on my phone. Otherwise I only get the notification about a missed call. Seems to work the same way with the Alexa app,  only works if you have the Alexa app open on your phone.

I have a Galaxy A8 phone.

Updates
Make sure the Fitbit app, your phone, and your Fitbit device are up-to-date.

Share system notifications
Tap Settings > Bluetooth

next to the name of your Fitbit device. Turn Share System notifications off and then back on. If you don’t see this option:
  1. Restart your Fitbit device
  2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your phone asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
  3. Tap

next to the name of your Fitbit device and turn on Share System Notifications.

Okay so this is what I did and it fixed it because I had the same problem too. First make sure that your fitbit app is updated and everything. Once that's done, go to the sync option in the app and click on the refresh button from the "Sync Now" option. After that, go to the top right corner of that same page, click on the trash can, and unpair your device from the app. After it unpairs, re pair it again where it says "Set up a Device". From there click on whatever device you have that your re pairing and then follow the instructions that the app tells you after that. Once everything is done and set up, make sure you set it to get notifications for messages and phone calls again. You can now send yourself a test phone call or have someone call you and you will see it pop up and vibrate on your device.
