Versa calories amount too high

Hi all, my Versa seems to be calculating my calorie burn too high, in particular during exercise.

Some of my stats:

Height: 193cm (6'3")

Weight: 125kg (275 pounds)

Resting heart rate: 42

A previous scan suggested my daily BMR is 2300. I work in IT so not an active job but I exercise most days.

Average daily burn is 3888 calories. Some examples of previous workouts

Weights

61 minutes - 810 calories

72 minutes - 1084 calories

70 minutes - 1035 calories

Spinning

45 minutes - 829 calories

45 minutes - 782 calories.

These numbers seem way too high, particularly the weights where they are low-rep sets with a fair bit of rest in between.

If anyone has any advice for me it would be appreciated.

Thanks

A warm welcome to the Community @ManMountain.

I appreciate all the information provided about this and would like to know if you have tried to restart your Versa? If you haven't, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Also, please take a look at the help article How does Fitbit estimate how many calories I've burned?.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

Hi Alejandra

Thanks for the tip - I have had the Versa for 3 weeks now and have restarted it twice.  It does seem to be fairly consistent in its measurements with nothing out of the ordinary, it just seems to be consistently high compared to my old watch.

But maybe my old watch was wrong and those numbers are closer to the truth! Would be interested to hear opinions.

Thanks

Alex
