Versa can't read my messages

I have changed all my settings to allow messages to be displayed. However, it still gives me notifications but I can not read my messages, please help!

Changing this fixed my issue in Next SMS. Thanks, I have been trying to figure this out for 7 months..... I can now read who is texting and the message. 🙂

4. Scroll down to the bottom and make sure that under Privacy Show Message text and Contact are selected

Mine does the same thing. It says i have 4 messages. But I can either ooen on my phone or clear. That is it

Samsung galaxy s6 by the way. Have tries going into every setting that I can find. Still only gives me option to clear or open on phone. How annoying!!

Is the phone set to send the complete message? Can you read the message while the phone is locked?

My Iphone 8 nor my Fitbit Versa operate like the diagrams on this answer page.   so I would call it a fail.

I am having the same issues and followed all the suggestions  with no luck. I get notified but can preview the message on my Versa lite. Just purchased it today..

Me too, however I don't even get notified that there is a message. But all my other apps come in just fine. 😞

Still does not work. All signs point to notifications being allowed, correct app is being used, etc... still nothing. I'm returning if I can't get this to work. Samsung S8, brand new Versa 2.

I have been using Textra as my default messaging app for years and now that I have a Fitbit Versa Lite, this post is saying I shouldnt use it for text message notifications. Why is that?

Update: I figured it out. Just had to change notification settings in my Textra app on my phone. Thank you!

I have the new Galaxy S10 and I could get notifications on my new versa too but I could not open or view text messages and I could not find anything online and customer service couldn't figure it out but I just did. You have to have the message preview options selected on your phone in order for the message to show up on the smart watch. Once you have the selection to preview messages you can read and re ply on your versa to just fine

Yes. I went through my phone and made sure all the correct buttons are on and all is connected as it should be. I get email notifications and phone call notifications, but not text notifications. Its frustrating.

Is preview enabled, I see posts every week where enabling this worked for them.

I have a Motorola Moto z3. I also have a Versa. I use the Message+ for text. I get the vibration and the notification for texts on my versa, however i cannot view the message. I used to be able to, but for some reason it stopped working. I have followed  the instructions given to others with similar issue, but it did not work. My message app does not have an importance setting. Please help.
