Weird behaviour.
First try restarting it to see if it clears the problem
Shut down the watch [ Swipe left, Settings, at the bottom, About, at the bottom, Shutdown]
wait a minute
[Hold the button till it vibrates or logo appears] Wait for the clock to reappear. |
If it doesn't probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

Thanks tried all that. Thought I’d sorted it but then this morning it had done it again. I’ll call them tomorrow

If you have an Android phone this might keep it working
On the phone check battery optimizations [the options may be different in your version]
