Versa count more laps during swimming

My versa almost always log more laps for swimming. It is pretty accurate for about up to 10 laps (20 length) but as I swim more it gets more inaccurate. At 20 laps it counts 1-2 more laps, at 30 2-3 more laps and one time it counted 7 more laps (14 length) when I did 40 laps. Anyone has this problem? I I tried restarting as well as complete re-setup and made sure that all the distance units are correct

Today it logged 53 laps (106 length) when I actually did 40 laps, full 13 more laps. It became more inaccurate after recent update

I tried my versa in the pool for the first time today. I was so disappointed! I experienced a similar issue but in the other direction. It only counted approximately half of my distance and just stopped my swim in mid length at one point! Also it reported my distance in yards even though I have it setup for meters.
