Versa counting driving distance to steps walked

I have both google fit and fitbit installed, i had 350+ on my google fit and fitbit before i took a drive on my bike near by and after the drive i was surprised to see after the drive  fitbit is showing 4000+ steps and Google fit is showing 350+ steps which is correct.

 

Such a huge difference of more than 10 times , its absolutely clear that versa failed.

Fitbit any idea of releasing a frimware fix  ?or can I just throw it in garbage.

@Santhosh0304 Versa is a wrist tracker. It is normal that bumps on the road during bike ride with add extra steps. You can make your Versa less sensitive by changing Wrist Placement setting in your Fitbit mobile app to Dominant. To remove these ghost steps, you can log manually (in your fitbit app) an activity called Driving corresponding to the period of time when you were riding your bike.
