Hi, steps are counted when you're walking/running, etc because you move your wrists. Is there anything you did moving your wrists while not walking/running? If yes, than that's the reason of the overcounting of the steps by the Versa. F.i. when I swing my wrist where I wear my Versa forwards and backwards whilst sitting in my chair, the Versa will count that as active steps.
