Versa counting stairs during runs outside and treadmill

I have noticed that when I run, either outside or on a treadmill, that versa registers floors. Last week I got 77 floors on a 5 mile run outside. Weather was clear and nice each time I have run outside with minimal wind. On the run last week I even carried my phone for GPS. Anyway for this to be more accurate?

It will.  My Surge was the same and the Versa I suspect works the same way.  It uses small differences in pressure correlated with when you are moving (walking etc).  So if the pressure drops while you are for instance on a treadmill it will show a huge overestimate in floor count.  I've been known to achieve 100 floors this way!

My advice is to take the floor count as a bit of fun and don't get distressed by it.  If your phone is using gps it will be a much better estimate of elevation change.
