Versa counting steps while I am driving car and watch is stationary. Other Fitbit watches never did

Why does my Versa count my steps while I am driving the car even when my wrist is still. I took on road trip for work and I did over 7000 steps. My other fitbit watches never did this.

You can add an activity on your dashboard called driving which will zero your steps for the period you are driving, however I have noted a problem with doing this also as I did this correction for yesterday and as well as correcting yesterdays steps it put todays steps to zero when I have done 1468 steps today?  not sure whats going on with this
