Versa counts my steps but then it drops them

Got my Versa today & tonight it’s losing steps. I was riding my bike & put it on my shoe which is what I always did with my Alta HR so it would of count the pedaling as steps. The Versa counted them but then kept dropping back by several hundred steps. It did this 3 times. What causes this?

Hey @sam408, it is great to see new faces around! So the amount of steps tracked by your Versa changed after you synced it, right? I mean, it decreased? If so, let me suggest you to try the following to avoid this from happening again:

- Restart your Versa

- Reboot your phone

- Log out/log in to your Fitbit account

- Force sync it

- I can't guarantee you'll recover all of your steps, however you can manually log them by following these instructions:

  1. On the Fitbit app dashboard tap the Exercise tile to open your exercise history. This is the tile that says "Track exercise" or shows how many days you've worked out this week.
  2. Tap the stopwatch icon in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Log.
  4. Tap a recent activity or search for an exercise type.
  5. Adjust the activity details and tap Add.

If your iOS mobile device supports 3D Touch, you can also log an activity from the home screen with the Quick Action menu accessed by 3D Touch.

Let me know how it goes!

I’m having the same issue and by about 1k to 1500 steps dropping at a time. It also looses my heart rate during work outs

I've only had my Versa a couple of days and this same thing just happened to me today. It lost about 24 active minutes and around 1400 steps.
