Versa - dead after factory reset

After a factory reset my Fitbit Versa is completely dead, have tried charging, following all reset procedures as per instructions, but still nothing. I only purchased it in December 2019 as a gift for my young daughter. She is understandably upset - please advise what to do from here. Thank you.
