Versa dead unless on charger

My Versa stopped a couple of days ago and assuming it was just a flat battery put it on charge. When it’s put on the charger it it will flash a screen saying 0% battery, and then most of the time turns on and says full battery, but as soon as you remove it everything dies. No screen no sensor lights on the back no vibrations. I’ve read similar threads and tried all the reset methods holding down the buttons etc.
