Versa device not showing steps recorded.

The device on my arm is not showing how many steps I took until I refresh it. While I'm walking it stays the same until I tap through the modes. For example let's say the device on my wrist says 800 steps then I take 100 steps it will still show 800 until I tap through the different modes back to steps. Is the a setting I need to fix so the wrist device is counting in real time?

Hello @TammieD, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention. Tell me, have you restarted your Versa already by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen? Which clockface are you currently using on your Versa?

If you're using a 3rd party clock face, I would like to suggest you to change it to a Fitbit one then check if you're still seeing this in the Versa's display. If the steps update automatically, that means the glitch is related to the 3rd party clock face, in which case I'd recommend to contact the creator of said clockface.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Hi, my versa doesn’t record any steps at all, I’m wearing it for a whole week and it shows 0. What do I do? I’ve already re boot it a few times and still nothing

I'm having the same problem after restarting it today (which I did due to recent synch issues). I have restarted 4 times and display on watch shows nothing under steps icon and 0 under calories burned.

Hello @Kirebass and @Lisan2, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

@Kirebass, I appreciate you have taken the time to let us know that your issue has been resolved after performing a factory reset. Thanks for keeping us updated.

@Lisan2, thanks for reporting this to us. Which clock-face are you using? If you're using a Fitbit one and if you swipe up to pull the Today screen and are unable to see your steps, please perform a factory reset on your Versa and monitor it for the next day.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep us posted in case you need anything else.

This solution worked for me. My steps automatically updated once I change the Versa back to a standard Fitbit clock face.

However, I am disappointed that I have to remove either the Charge 3 or Versa from my iPhone if I want to switch between devices. I understand that this is because the Charge 3 and Versa share the same operating platform so this is the expected behavior. Will this always be the case? I know I could one of the devices under a different email address but then I would not be able to share steps accurately between the two devices.

Thanks,

James

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for letting us know the instructions provided earlier were helpful for you. Now, when it comes to having the Charge 3 and the Versa in the same account at the same time, I would like to suggest you to check @m_matson's suggested idea to implement this feature in a future update. Feel free to add your comment and vote for this suggestion, this is the best way to make your voice heard and get the attention from our development team.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.
