My wife and I, for the first time ever, went for a dip in the ocean whilst wearing our Versa 3s: normally we remove them. After 10 minutes of exposure to water, both are dead. Neither went under the water by anything close to 1m let alone 50m.
Given these are the 4th and 5th versas we’ve owned, all of which have failed just outside the warranty period, I think it’s time to give up and declare these things junk; second rate products designed by second rate engineers.

Hi there, @M1keG. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community FOrums and sharing the details about the issue with your Versa devices. I understand how you must be feeling.
If your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
If you've done the above but to no avail, please try restarting your Versa. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
If the restart doesn't work either and your watch hasn't vibrated for the restart process, I'd recommend trying the steps below:
Nevertheless, I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here and they've already assisted you. If you still need help or have any questions/concerns regarding the outcome of your case, please feel free to contact our team back for further assistance.
