Versa died just over 1 yr is this typical?

Had 1 yr 1 mo, won't charge and it's dead, cleaned it, still won't charge, would like to know if this is usual length of time, not sure I want to buy a $200 smart watch to last only 1 yr.

@Shortrich1 have you tried using computer usb port for several hours? This also can be a problem with a charging dock and not the tracker itself. Are you able to borrow a dock from someone to test it? Just in case I will flag your post for Customer Support assistance.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa doesn't turn on. Thank you for trying to fix it before contacting us. It seems that you've been in touch with Customer Support. I'm pretty sure they will do their best to provide a high level of support.

 

To answer your question, the issue you are experiencing is not typical. Many users have been wearing Fitbit devices for several years.

Same happened to me. Just a little over a year, after the warranty expired, my versa would not hold a charge, stopped syncing and died. This is my 4th firtbit and they usually last a little over a year. I Like their product but I cant be repurchasing a new watch every year. I think I've given up on their product and looking for alternatives.

I emailed them and even though my warranty was expired they sent me a new
one. You should reach out to them.

Wow.. thanks for letting me know. Emailed them twice on two different devices. Both times I was only given a discount.

On my second one...did the update and it crashed on me. Did everything to restart it and nothing. Had this 2nd one maybe 13 months. The first one I had around 8 months. Gonna go get the versa 3 and hope it lasts a lot longer.
