I'm posting this because I'm appalled at the lack of quality from Fitbit. I purchased a Versa on June 2, 2018 for $240. On June 29th 2019, the device powered down on its own with 70% charge. The device now will not power on at all. I reached out to support and after troubleshooting was told it's out of warranty and they can give me 25% discount. Screw that. Fitbit, I expected more from you. I will likely never purchase another fitbit device in my life for myself or my family and friends. For something to die 20 days out of warranty is quite suspicious. Another thing, all of the other smart watch vendors warranty for 24 months. Fitbit is far behind the curve with their warranty and their firmware upgrades. Further research in the forums indicates there was a firmware issue with the latest upgrade that bricks the device.
Beware consumers, there are much better products in the same price range that offer more options and better warranties.

the same thing happened to me except I was 60 days out of warranty. I contacted customer service 3 times and even asked to be transferred to a supervisor. Mine died after being in the pool with it. I miss my fitbit, having had various ones over 7 years, but I can't justify wasting the money when they won't stand behind a manufacturer defect like this.
