Versa display not turning on

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been reading posts and the problems many are having with their versa.  Mine quit working on the 26th of June, the screen just went blank. I've tried all the strategies listed to no avail.  Would really like to get it working again. I enjoy having it and have come to depend on it for exercise as well as notifications.  Thank you

Hi @rosmedin, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation

Looking forward to your reply.

Your reply is appreciated @rosmedin.

Thanks for troubleshooting your device with me. Since the steps from my previous post didn't work, please try our factory reset following the next steps:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

I'll be here if further assistance is needed.

My app was attempting to do the firmware update and froze on the Installing portion. The versa screen was dark with a bluish line around it. Then it went completely black and I can not get the screen active again. I tried charging (according to the app it’s at 100%), tried turning off/on with two buttons, and tried the three button factory reset. Nothing. Screen stays black. I do have the green lights still active on the back of the watch and it would vibrate when placed in the charger. Help, please!

My versa lite screen went black today, I had just charged it. App says it’s at 98%.  But the screen in black. It is still vibrating and the green light is flashing. I’ve tried all the tricks on here and nothing has worked. Restarting does nothing, changing the watch face doesn’t work.  What can I do??? I’ve had it about 9 months.

I have been having this same problem but with a Vera 2 @RicardoFitbit.. The screen has been non responsive, it has been black the past 3 weeks.  I have tried every single step in the restarting process as well and nothing has worked.  The green light is still working and it still vibrates if I have any notifications or if my alarm is going off.  I will press my one and only button and it will vibrate.  Sometimes if I have the Versa 2 close to my ear I can hear a ringing sound when I press the button.  I have had this for about 7 months.  I never take it in the water and keep it as clean as possible.  I haven't had any problems with it other than the battery starting to die faster than normal like having to charge it every 2 days instead of every 5 days.  I don't know if I have a warranty o it or not because I was a gift and the gift giver does not remember.  Please help us out with the problem!

My Fitbit versa is still unresponsive, like you I have tried everything listed. I have not had any reply from Fitbit coaches. I’ve raised the white flag.
