My versa screen used to come on when I turned my wrist, now I have to push the button. Is there a way to fix that?

Hold in left side button a few seconds;  look for 'Screen Wake';  tap to toggle on or off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

@slkrogh welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding the feature that turns on the Versa's display when you turn your wrist, I would like to follow up and would like to know if the issue persists or if it got resolved after trying the troubleshooting steps that shared @JohnnyRow.
