Versa displays a red dot and two dashes

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After charging my Versa, I noticed a tiny red dot with with two dashes on my clock/ date

screen. Didn’t think anything of it until I tried to pair with my iPad. My iPad can’t find my

Versa. Forgot the device but iPad does not see my Versa. I’ve had it for less than two

months. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

There should be no reason to pair the versa to your iPad if it is already setup.

Simply download the phone version of the app and log in to your Fitbit account .

Now if the phone is within 50 feet, you will need to turn the phones Bluetooth off to disconnect the Versa.

Now the Fitbit app should be able sync the tracker. You may have to agree to a few permissions.

As for the red dot and dashes without knowing which one of the hundreds clock faces your using I'm not sure. Maybe post a photo.

Rich, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately all that you suggested, was done shortly after getting my Versa. Was syncing up everyday with previous days info so no problem there. The dot

and two dashes were never there until I disconnected from the charger. Now my iPad doesn’t

“see” my Versa.

Hi, @Davy3721, I think we are missing some information here.

Do you always sync with your iPad, or is your Versa also set up on a phone?

As Rich suggests, dot and dashes on the Versa screen may very well not be relevant for the syncing issue.  It may be that you need to re-select your clock face, as it has gone wrong in some way, but won't be able to do that until you can sync.

So... as much extra information as you can give would be helpful!

Julia,

Thanks for your reply. Have the Versa synced to my phone as well, so I changed the clock face

and the dot and dashes disappeared. Having signed into my account on my iPad mini 4 and turned on Bluetooth, I am somehow connected to  the Versa , yet my iPad doesn’t show that it is. Strange. Anyway thanks to all who replied I certainly appreciate all the help and support.

Actually I think the problem is that you are trying to connect your Versa to 2 devices when it is not possible. So your Versa is always connected to your phone, the iPad can't see it.

You tell us the tracker is connected to the phone. The tracker being a Bluetooth device. is only able to connect to one host at a time. I still believe. as @Giampi71 states, if you want to connect to the ipod, you need to disconnect from the phone.

This can be done by moving at least 50 feet away from the phone. Bot turn tyetphones Bluetooth off. See my post above @Davy3721. Sorry but this is a limitation of bluetooth.
