Versa distance is inaccurate

Nearly every morning I take a walk for about 25/30 minutes to take a break from desk & monitor - I will pretty much always go the exact same route (some minor variations), and over time I noticed that my recorded 'pace' had been growing (I walk quite slowly so was enjoying seeing the pace increase...).
Now, over the last week both the distance & pace have dropped off completely - over the same course it is now saying, up until this morning, that the distance covered was just over 1km - a 'loss' of nearly half a km for the same route and that my pace had dropped dramatically.
This morning the distance is now under 1km (same route) and the pace is lower again.
Strangely it tells me that I'm covering this route in a faster overall time...
This will not be down to the GPS on my 'phone - I have Google Fit running in the background, which will also be using the GPS on my 'phone, and Fit records the distance correctly.

Just to let everyone know that this issue is still ongoing and Fitbit have confirmed other users are having the problem and they cannot guarantee if or when a fix will be found.  I have messaged them over and over and all I get is an aplogy and a message askign me to bear with them...it's now been over 8 weeks since I first noticed the issue and I'm fed up.  The issue was caused by something Fitbit did so it's not our fault.  Based on the sale of goods act we have up to 6 years to make a refund claim based on the fact that the product is not as described, not fit for purpose and has not lasted a reasonable length of time based on the fact that the issue was caused by Fitbit and not us the users.  I'm therefore now taking this approach so will see what happens.  Not sure if this message will be deleted by Fitbit as other messages I've posted here have mysterious vanished!

I am also facing Inaccurate distance measurement issue. On a regular track which is 4.5, Fitbit measures about 6kms.

Having the same issues all listed here. Real pain the backside as pushing for PBs and it's not recording the data right (same route but saying less distance therefore increased per km time), very frustrating!

So many people getting the same problem with Fitbit and they are refusing to even acknowledge that there is an issue.  I have been trying to resolve this now for 6 months and last week I contacted them again and was told that the issue did not appear on their system even though it's been apparently escalated to a higher team.  Eventually they admitted it could not be fixed and that as a courtesy I would be given 25% off a new Fitbit because now mine is out of warranty!!!!   Why would I even consider this when they can't fix my current Fitbit which stopped working when they updated the app 6 months ago.  Personally I think there is a massive issue with Fitbit that they are refusing to tell people.  People are walking/running around using their devices without even realising that they are inaccurate until you compare it to an accurate GPS app.  I've even tried adjusting the stride length on mine to get the distance more accurate but I'm now on a 70 inch stride and although the first 1/2 mile is correct by the end of 3 miles my Fitbit is only showing 2.55.  When I reset everything back and use GPS through my phone the stride is calculated at 32 inches but then on a 3 mile run it's only displaying 2.45!!!  Small differences I could handle but when it's half a mile and your pace is showing 11-13 mins per mile it's just completely useless!!  This email will probably be deleted similarly to other's I've posted saying similar things!

Don't give up, I kept badgering them with constant emails. In the end they sent me a replacement which I have now sold as I have lost all faith in Fitbit. I went & bought a Garmin, much better, very accurate & I don't have to run with my phone anymore. Would be much easier if you could talk to a person at Fitbit. Very poor customer service Fitbit, sort it out before you lose many more users!!!

What email address were you using Emma?  I've only be dealing with them via Live Chat.  I cant believe how bad they are at sortign this - I genuinely used to love my Fitbit when I got it and did so for 2 years but there's no way I would go back to them now unless they could replace mine with a working one which is all I've wanted because up until the app update everything was working fine so it's their fault not mine.
