Hi,
i have a new Versa 2 which was working really great the first few days. Now it starts to count stairs although I am not climping any. One time I was outside on a walk - all straight, no alimeter and when I got back home I had 27! Stairs climbed. Other time I used the elevator and I got 3 stairs... any suggestions?

@Em2020 Your Versa 2 has a relative altimeter in it. It senses a change in barometric pressure and counts a floor with a change of 10 ft. There are several things that can fool your Versa 2. Very gusty winds and the tight fire doors at my office can give me floors. I once got over 30 flights and never left the floor of my office. Several year ago, a user got thousands of floors because of an oscillating fan.
Likewise, I generally don't get floors in an elevator if I am standing fairly still. If I am moving in an elevator, my Fitbit perceives it as walking uphill and I get floors.
Your Versa 2 can undercount floors, too.
Counting floors is kind of a "fun number" from Fitbit. We are urged to take the stairs for exercise, so there is the proof on your wrist. Floors, per se, don't change your calories burned as calculated by your Fitbit. But if you do a lot at once and it gets your heart rate going, then you do get that calorie credit.
I'm not sure I would worry about it right now.
