Versa doesn't sync after the battery drains out completely.

I’ve seen this sort of topic a lot, obviously the Versa has some issues that still need to be addressed. When I first got it, it was so frustrating trying to connect it via Bluetooth to my iPhone. Now anytime I let my Versa’s battery reach zero and then charge back up it won’t sync, I have to do the horrible “fix” of forgetting it in my Bluetooth settings and deleting the Fitbit app, reinstalling and going through the whole setup again.

Hello @Briderman, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention and provide me details about your issue and the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, if the battery on your Versa drains completely and it's not syncing, before removing it from the Bluetooth devices on your phone and re-pair it to your account, please try the following:

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process
  • Check that your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone again.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time and try to sync.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

Dear Marco,

I'm living through the exact same issue here. I think Fitbit should see this as a major issue, the only way to make it work again is by deleting everything and then sett it up again. This is ridiculous and makes me want to throw the watch away.

Kind regards
