My Fitbit Versa after shower suddenly turned off (showed "battery 0%", but in fact it was charged) and no longer turns on or even charges. I wear this watch 11 months and sometimes had shower with it, but had no problems. Before this accident I noticed that hear rate was not properly tracked fot couple weeks (always logged elevated heart rate, not real). Should I contact Support center and return the watch or request a refund?

Hi, it's my opinion that your Versa suffered water damage. Although it's sometimes mentoined that it's waterproof, this is not true. It's water resistant, meaning that after each time it's get wet, it will need to be dried thoroughly everytime, including the band. You always can contact Customer Support, but I think it will be a problem to get it replaced. I will flag your post to the moderator team to bring this under their attention and maybe they know a solution for you. Good luck!!

Thanks, but it says that it is possible to swim ant track water activities with Versa, so shower should be allowed also. I dried watch and band, but after ~20 min it “died”.
Thanks, I hope support center will find solution. But it says that it is possible to swim ant track water activities with Versa, so shower should be allowed also and should not cause any damage if you can swim with it. I dried watch and band, but after ~20 min it “died”

In principle you're right, but I have read these problems a lot of times before. That's the reason I reacted the way I did and I'm almost always online.
Please, next time you mark an answer as an accepted solution, think twice before you do that. It's really frustrating to get an email that your answer is accepted as a solution from Fitbit in your email box and then find out that's not the case cause it's revoked.

FYI: I have the Versa 2 and my daughter did, too. I will not swim with mine because she swam with hers and it died after taking a shower. The warrantee had expired by 3 days . She tried "rice", but it was beyond help.
