Versa doesnt work properly

I have been a Fitbit customer for 18 months, really happy with my HR
A month ago, I bought a Versa for my boyfriend and everything seems to go wrong....

- Staircases are adding up to more than 100 most days and we live in a small town without skyscrapers...

- Last friday, the watch told him he had been active (250 steps) when we had been driving for hours without moving?

- The calories are above 3000 per day with a desk-bound job

- Most nights, the watch doesn't recognise his sleep

What can I do? He is ready to dump it in a drawer and not use it anymore. It's really frustrating

It isnt unusual to get your 250 steps an hour when driving due to bumps in the road, so that one is not too odd. The calories burnt is not possible to say without knowing his weight (it would be unreasonable for me as I am quite light), but the heavier you are the more you burn just by being alive.

I'd suggest you restart the watch several times and see if that improves things

Restart your tracker

Thank you for your feedback NellyG

However, we were driving on a highway so not much bump in the road and I do not get steps while driving with my fitbit
Regarding the calories, he weights 70kg for 169cm - so not as light as a marathon runner - but not overweight 😉
As for the steps, do you have any explanation to suggest?
Many thanks anyways, we will restart his tracker to see if it gets better

Do several restarts as one is often not enough. That may help with the 'driving' steps (though you will still get some), and also the sleep tracking.

With the calories burnt go to the app and his account and check that his weight is correct in the app. I did a quick google of his bmr calories and around 1600 a day should be all he would burn, plus whatever activity calories he adds. But over 3000 a day does sound excessive with a desk job. Does his heart rate reading look accurate? If that is too high it will account for the excessive calories burnt.
