I just switched from an iPhone to Samsung Galaxy 9 and I unpaired my Versa from the iPhone. Everything appears connected but I don’t receive text messages now. Any help?

There are two notification settings on the watch. One in the normal icon menu under settings and another when you hold down the left button.
I'm assuming that you've set the app notification settings by the sound of it.

I would like to know if you keep having issues receiving your text notifications? If you do, I recommend taking a look at the help article My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and follow the instructions provide there.

Unless you can offer a timeline for fixing the pages and pages and pages of problems (from launch!) with sleep and GPS I'll continue to be saving up for a Garmin asap.
Notifications are the least of the Versa's problems.
