Versa doubling heart rate

The past two days my Versa is doubling my heart rate. The screen reads 157 (fluctuates right about there) and a manual check is about 79 beats per minute. I restarted my fitbit and sync'd with no change. Turned off the HR monitor part and turned it back on, no change.

I'm a nurse and our automatic heart rate monitors do this when a person has a slight arrhythmia, usually nothin g to worry about.  It could just be a fault with the fitbit, so try resetting it, but also might be worth seeing a GP to get your HR checked.

I tried a restart of it, but I'm afraid to factory reset because of all the "brick" comments when others tried.

My heart rate isn't that high, it's about a 79. I had myself and my husband check it manually. It is the fitbit. The battery was draining in one day and when I checked the app it says I had 632 active minutes and that is impossible. Then I looked at the heart rate and it says consistently that I'm running above 145bpm the past 3 days now.

UPDATE: After the last restart my notifications stopped working as well. I turned off the HR monitor and resync'd yet again. No luck. I woke up to a dead fitbit so I put it on the charger thinking it would charge. About 6 hours later... black screen. So I restart the fitbit and it vibrates like it restart but I didn't get any fitbit logo. I started getting the alerts with no screen, completely black. I gave up and chatted with Fitbit support. After about 40 minutes of trouble shooting... They are sending a replacement.
