Versa draining phone battery?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got a new Galaxy S9+ a few weeks ago and was thrilled with the battery life. By the end of the day I'd still have around 20% battery left. I just started using my new Versa 4 days ago, and every day since my phone's battery has been down to single digits by early afternoon. I disabled All-Day Sync, but that hasn't helped. Any thoughts? TIA!

Hi all,

Just an update. The issues I experienced seemed to be related to the
payment/wallet feature of the fit bit. I found that when paying with the
versa and google pay, transactions never required a pin, even when over $100.
As I felt that this may leave me open to unintended transactions, I
disabled this capability, and the battery draining issue vanished.
Everything else works perfectly, and I am very happy with the versa.
Cheers,
Phil

I hope someone takes my issues with the Versa going dead overnight - twice
so far, back to the engineering team.

Fitbit is draining my cell phone battery

It would really help if you would tell us a lot more, starting with which Fitbit you have, what phone, how you have your sync setup.  And you may want to read some of the previous postings.  This may be an anomaly, or it may be a know issue as I experienced that has a form of workaround.

Yes. I too have noticed that my phone is running hotter and the battery is discharging faster than normal. I have to constantly have it on a charger during work.

As has previously been noted, the Versa synch's a lot of data so if all
synch options are on, it kills the batteries on the phone, at least an
Android phone while making it hot. Fitbit techs told me to essentially
only do manual synch as I need, not auto, continuous. Now my phone behaves
normally, though the fitbit is not quite as helpful. But message
notifications still buz my wrist.

Good information. I had to do the same thing.
