Versa for tiny wrists, metal sensitivity and healthcare use?

Hi guys!

I've been hanging around and thinking of getting a Versa.

I have three questions.

  1. Does versa fit small and narrow wrist? The rigid hardware of previous Fitbits are wider than my wrist. My wrist measures 4.75" around, 1.5" diameter (?), 1" across on the flat side. I can live it is a bit bigger but not swinging.
  2. Are the metals used in fitbit hypoallergenic? I cannot wear certain metal watches (all said stainless steel backs - which are fine in other watches/bracelets) but I'm not sure what I'm sensitive to.
  3. How does it take to alcohol wipes? I work in healthcare and am exposed to handrubs and sanitary alcohol wipes daily.

I mainly want the Fitbit for the heart rate, and its larger screen for stopwatch and timer. Thanks for your help in advance!

All exposed metal is of medical grade stainless steel meeting the European standards, not just the lower US standards. Basicslly it is very similar to what implants are made of.

Alcohol wipes should not be a problem, as the watch is rated to withstand 150 feet of water.

The watch itself is about 1/4 inch smaller than the Blaze.

We. the council, have found the black solid band uncomfortable. The woven one is way better. I've noticed Amazon has bands by third parties .The choices are growing quickly.

As for the diameter of the wrist, I'll leave this up to someone else, maybe they can try theirs on a daughter or son

Probably not much help here, but I have a small wrist, maybe about 6” and the versa fits very nicely, even better than the Alta or charge with small sized bands,

Basic (disintegrated), Ultra, One, Surge (returned), Flex, Charge, Alta, Charge 2, iPhone 7 Plus, Macbook Pro, iPad Pro.

Be careful there is a subject about versa disconfort (band) below and lot of people experimented a rash.
Nobody knows the reason, silicone, or metal 😞

Thanks Rich_laue for the information on the metals used.

I'm concerned that alcohol will cause the band to disintegrate or tarnish the metal of the watch face.

Thanks all so much for your help! If anyone with small wrists could pipe in, that would be useful too! 🙂

@GreenChip  My Versa is my fourth wrist based and I have never had an issue with hand sanitizer and a band or the tracker.  One of my trackers is the rose gold Charge 2 and the case looks as good as new.

My wrists are small, but not a small as yours.  I fit in the sizing guideline and you do not.  I am concerned that you will run out of holes on the band when you wear the classic band.  If the tracker is too loose, it won't be able to pick up your heart rate.  An option might be the Fitbit metal mesh band, which is surgical stainless steel.  It has a clasp, not a magnet like the third party mesh bands.  Those magnets are very strong and could interfere with a patient's pacemaker if you get too close.
