Just sent an email to support but apparently the reply isn't going to be for days so wondering if anyone has any bright ideas in the short term.

I have a Versa that is less than twelve months old. It has been fine until today, when it started showing the wrong time and when I went into the app to sync in case that was an issue I kept getting a message - on Android btw - that there was a bluetooth issue and to restart bluetooth which i did and the message just kept coming up again and again. So, I did a reset of the device, same issue. Then, unpaired the device to see if that helped. It wouldn't even recognise there WAS a device. So, did a factory reset. This was all after trying the troubleshooting steps you usually do by the way with uninstalling and reinstalling the app etc etc.

I'm now stuck in some kind of weird loop. It is on the screen on the device that says to open the ap, I do and sometimes I get as far as it refusing the accept that my wifi details are correct and so I try updating via bluetooth bt it only manages a tiny sliver of update before a big red cross appears on the screen and it cycles back to the beginning. Then, I have to go through the whole de-pairing bluetooth, uninstalling the app then reinstalling it, etc etc. For it to do the same thing, or sometimes not even get further than continually telling me the app need to be turned on and getting nowhere. I've been trying ALL DAY to try and fix this, and it is going nowhere. Just a weird loop of sometimes getting a bit further, sometimes not. I have done all the troubleshooting tips i can find repeatedly. I have tried doing all these with the versa plugged in and with it unplugged. I have completely reset my internet wifi stuff in case it was that. I have tried ever permutation you can think of - even had a sheet to make sure I'd tried all the variations¬ I have also tried all this by downloading the app onto the tabet I have - another android in case it was my device and it still did it. Also tried on my husband's iphone in case it was a software issue with the app instead. Still no luck. I think the versa needs an actual repair but have no idea how to go about that.

Please, does anyone have any suggestions that might work so I can use my Versa again without having to send it back in for repair?

I have the exact same issue, except my device was sync'ing fine, though having some problems with notifications and some other stuff.

It said it had a new update for me, so I start the update.

1. At first it takes HOURS to finish the, the watch and app showing the progress bar going VERY slow. I figured this might be because it's updating the watch over bluetooth, but it didn't tell me to switch to WI-FI for it to happen faster, so yea, didn't even think about it.
2. The progress bar is full.. after like 3 hours? And then it STARTS OVER. WHY? I Am thinking it might be that it's installing it now, but it doesn't tell me anything, it's just the fitbit logo with the blue progress on the watch, and the pink progress bar on the phone.

3. Again it's slow.. like really really slow. But eventually it fills out the progress bar and finishes. I hope.

4. Nope.. it starts over again.

5. At some point I go back to the watch and see that the "update failed - try again?" screen.

6. So I try again. This time over WI-FI. Still same issues. Really slow. Fails. I go to sleep. This has been like 7 or 8 hours now.

7. Wake up today, do everything here:

https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2047/?q=Update&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

Uninstall app, reinstall it, remove versa from app, re-add it. Still same issue: really slow and fails update.

8. read on the forums to factory reset my watch. I do through the settings menu on the watch.

9. remove the watch from the app, re-add it, and try to set it up from scratch. At first it seems fine, it connects to the phone, the wi-fi, everything. Then after it connects, it IMMEDIATELY jumps to 100% download (now I have a new screen to look at during the update I actually get a message about what's happening) and subsequently fails the update.

10. I move the watch close to the router, leaves my phone next to it, and try again. Same issue (to 100% fast then fails)

11. I try over bluetooth. SLOOOOOOW and fails.

So.. yea.. I've done everything. REALLY effin' disappointed with this $200 watch right now.

Please help me.
