Woke up this morning (did not wear my Versa while sleeping) and my Fit bit had 251 steps while it was on the dresser. I tried to restart it and the steps were still there. Any idea how i can fix this?

I've had this issue almost every day since I've bought it. If you log in on your computer > Click Log > Activities > Type in driving at the bottom of the page > Input the hours where these steps occurred. It will significantly decrease the amount of steps you took.
I woke up with 18K steps this morning after not wearing my fitbit all night and this helped to bring it down to 600. Good luck!

@MF21 @HC24 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! This may happen when your tracker detects movement from another source. For example an AC unit, fan or working computer may cause vibrations and if these appliances are near your Versa then it may detect them as steps. Like @HC24 said you can negate these steps by logging a driving activity but make sure there aren't any external factors that may be causing this.
Let me know how it goes!

After logging a driving activity it did not negate my steps. Is fitbit working on this issue as it seems a ton of users are experiencing the massive amount of step increases while charging. It would seem to me that a firmware update to turn off tracking while charging could fix the issue. I work for a retailer that sells your product and we continue to take returns based on this issue alone.

I just started noticing this in the last week. I’ve had mine since it launched in April and it just now started to do this. When I charge it and wake up in the morning I have over 8k steps. Apperantly my versa is taking a stroll without me lol. I googled it to see if anyone else reported this and came across this. This def needs to be fixed by Fitbit asap.
