Peeformed the firmware update this morning and now the heart monitor is no longer working. Yes it is ON in the Versa. Performed reboots, followed the steps listed in forums, blah blah blah, but nothing has helped. Also, battery starting to go faster than usual. Is my Versa getting to end of the line??

Hi @Salcy, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.
I am sorry to hear the heart rate monitor stopped working on your Fitbit Versa after the latest update and the battery is draining faster than expected. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I understand your concern and I am here to help. I appreciate the additional details and recommend to give one last try to the following steps in the given order:
1. Turn off the heart-rate tracking (On your device, open the Settings app > Heart Rate > tap to turn the setting Off)
2. Restart the watch: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
3. Turn on the heart-rate tracking.
For more information about factors affecting your heart-rate reading, please check this help article: What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?
Regarding the issue with the battery life, please find our tips for preventing battery drain at Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.

After recent update my unit is doing the same. No heart rate showing.
Gone through all the discussions, hints, advice to other members, restarts, checked the all day update, turned all off and on, unlinked units and linked back but still no heart rate.
Battery also not lasting as long as before.
Concerned now the unit is not going to get back to the great asset it was when it was bought for me.
Grateful for any assistance.

Yestersay my battery lasted less than 1/2 day and the heart monitor still does not work. As a last resort, I need to know if I can revert the update. I did factory reset the unit and did lost some stuff that I had "installed". What a bummer. I am not installing anything again until I resolve this issue. The Versa has given me way too many headaches since I got ot (I had it replaced once since the battery started to fail about 3 months after I got it). Since I got the replacement unit about 14 months ago, I had to reset it more than once because of battery issues. It did resove the problem at the time. This time around it did not work. I am wondering if the unit is getting to the end on its lifespan and/or if the update is to blame for this. The change happened suddenly and right after the update. I cannot be ditching $150 every year or so for a new watch. Please somebody help😞

Mine is doing the same thing. I looked at the records on the HR tracking with the Hr monitor stopping when the latest firmware update was installed. Everything else on the Versa works fine, I haven't noticed there being a faster than usual battery drain. I have tried all of the methods of restarting, even factory reset and loading all of my music and apps back on. I am hopeful there is a way I can roll back to an earlier firmware.
Thanks for your help

My sleep info is not right and the battery is draining way too fast.
Anyone have a recommendation about an alternative to Fitbit?

I'm on a chat with someone right now who is basically saying that these issues can't be traced to the upgrade. I am so done with Fitbit and I've been with them since the beginning..

I got mine for Christmas and had the screen replaced in January when it became unresponsive. Ever since this update I’m ready to just give up. Heart rate monitor stopped working, device constantly attempting to restart itself and gets frozen on the logo, and now it won’t even sync anymore. I tried removing it and re-adding the device but unfortunately the Bluetooth appears to now have crapped out so I can’t even re-add it to my account. Customer rep on twitter gave me a case number and said a rep would reach out soon but it could take 7 business days!!

Hi so here is my last update and I am super livid and disappointed at Fitbit. So I attempted to chat again with a customer service agent as no one ever attempted to contact me. So they finally agreed that the unit was beyond repair, and since the Versa is out of warranty, I was offered a 40% off some selected units. Stupid me decided to give Fitbit another chance and went for it. I ordered the older Charge 3 (No way I will try another Versa of any kind ever again). So they offered the Charge 3 for $97 and change so I went ahead and order it (it has better reviews than the Versa series but still a couple of cons). So it got shipped for free (5-7 delivery). I paid a total of $106 including tax . So wanting to learn more, yesterday I went to the Fitbit website to learn more about the Charge 3, and to my surprise, I saw that it was for sale for $99 and free overnight delivery for a limited time!!!. So after all my troubles I only got $3 off the new deal and I have to wait 5-7 days to get the darn thing. I did chat again with them this morning and gave them a piece of my mind. I am extremely disappointed and I feel that I was mocked. I may even return the unit upon receipt. Fitbit does not deserve my business. The fact that I was offered something like it was already a great deal and try to deceive me...Extremely humiliating. Enough said. Good luck to all those people that commented on my thread and that are experiencing the same troubles with their Versas. FYI, the heart monitor never worked again and the battery still draining fast (I finished charging it around 7-8am this morning and it is already at 49%). Also thank you to the moderators for trying to help. Must be tough will all these faulty units. Best regards

Same thing happened to my versa starting about a month ago. I've had it 16 months, so no this is not a newbie issue. Heart rate not showing, battery drains fast-I have to charge 2x a day now! Useless for heart rate. I've tried all the solutions listed on this forum but nothing works. Will definitely never buy another fitbit product unless we get some resolution soon. Did the firmware update yesterday, but it didn't help either.
