Versa heart rate is low

I am really losing my hopes of using Fitbit as a sports watch. I do CrossFit like 3 times a week. Almost every class there is an intensive workout where you would expect the heart rate would spike to 140-160. Not according to my Versa, which doesn't show any peak higher than 123 bpm. Funny enough, according to Fitbit, my HR peaks the same way during a walk and a CrossFit session. It all comes down to the fact that the heart rate monitor isn't working when you are sweating.

I hate it when I see the add from Fitbit showing mostly people who are working out. Face it, the heart rate monitor doesn't work when you workout. It just doesn't. At least it would be great if you would provide an alternative like a chest strap, so during workouts, we get a decent HR measure.

Disappointed.

It's great to welcome you @ChristophRooms.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this issue. If you are having problems with your heart rate information, I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provide there. After those steps, test your unit.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

Hi Alejandra,

I have tried all of the instructions in that post, but no change.

Below the heart rate during a work-out with 5 sprints on the row (1-2 mins) and deadlifts in between. Screen Shot 2018-09-28 at 11.53.32.png

You would expect to see spikes of 160-170 bpm for the row sprints. But nothing. I even think my fitbit never measured a heart rate about 150. Pretty weird for someone who works out 4-5 times a week.
