I've had the Versa for about a month now. While I still love the features, I am so frustrated that my watch's heart rate monitor, which supplies the measurement vital to informing most of those features, is continually inaccurate and inconsistent. At first, I only noticed this aggravating flaw while working out. As sweat built up on my skin, the heart rate monitor would lose count of the BPM, often going completely blank for periods or showing a ridiculously low heart rate not consistent with the exercise. That the Versa constantly misreads my heart rate during workouts (precisely when I want my heart rate measured most accurately) is frustrating enough. However, I've recently noticed that my Versa's monitor is actually inaccurate most of the time. During the work day, I notice that my watch often shows a BPM around my sleeping resting heart rate (48 BPM) even after just returning from walking around. Further, my Versa won't show an increase in heart rate above maybe 2-4 BPM when I start walking around, keeping my heart rate at well below what it should be for me while walking.
I have tried multiple remedies to fix this issue, but to no avail. I've restarted my Versa. I've soaked it and the rubber straps I usually wear while exercising in soapy water to clean the grime from the backside of the watch and the heart rate monitor. I wear the watch high on my non-dominant wrist, with the strap tightened to a comfortable degree, as suggested. Nothing will work. Sometimes, I'll readjust the watch and it will immediately register a higher heart rate that seems much more normal for my level of activity, before dropping more than 20 BPM instantly and returning to an impossibly low level. Perhaps I have a faulty watch, but I wanted to ask if anyone else experiences these kinds of issues with their Versa? Considering how vital a roughly accurate heart rate measurement is to the Fitbit's ability to calculate calorie burn and level of exercise, this is a fatal flaw in the product that I would love to know how to fix. Advice appreciated.

I am having a similar project except the opposite in how my heart rate is being monitored. I've had my versa 2 for two years now and about two weeks ago it started to count my heart rate at 180bpm or higher all the time. There is no way my heart is beating that fast. I've adjusted the position on my wrist, I've reset the versa, and nothing seems to help.
