My new Versa is great but the heart rate monitor does not seem to work. The videos say there is a blue light but mine has not blue light in the back?

Is mine just broken, should there be a blue light HR monitor?

Returned item back to retailer.

I’m thinking to get Apple Watch or Ionic. I gave up trying.. I reset logged out turned off factory reset. Light just shorted out. So Versa Is great if you don’t wet it.

After my versa stopped measuring the bpm and Fitbit could not fix or provide a replacement I moved to the Apple Watch. I’ve had the Apple Watch 3 for two weeks and it’s great. But you do need to get the supporting apps. However there are far more pros than cons for the Apple Watch 3. The biggest pro is customer service. Still waiting for my refund and I sent the Versa back on May 4th. I did like the Fitbit and worn a Blaze for over two years.

If you put an epoxy sticker over the hr sensor it will work with your tattoo wrist. No clue why it works. Just know it does.

Something like this is why I'm referring to.

50 Pcs. Clear Round Epoxy Stickers - Various Diameters Between 6mm and 76mm - Self Adhesive (0.25 inch (6.4 mm)) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AIDHF8I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_GWRgBb3QDBHX9

I can't believe that you're recommending for someone to add a sticker to
fix their versa.

Well considering tech told my husband that it's normal for it to not read
over tattoos AND there are no plans to change how it functions my
suggestion is simply that - a suggestion. If you WANT to use it with HR
and can't because of a tattoo your options are the sticker or send it back
and get something else or deal without the HR function. No skin off my
back either way. Just throwing it our there for those who might WANT to try
it.

Can't believe you got salty over a suggestion to make something work that
fitbit has no intentions of fixing themselves.
Takes all kinds I guess.

I also have a sleeve on my left arm. The heart rate has not worked well. After reading your post I moved it to my right dominant arm and it works perfectly. Never had an issue with my charge2. What if a person has two sleeves? Fitbit needs to fix this issue!!!

The versa is garbage. I have given up on Fitbit.

I had a Versa that gave up after swimming. I mean the heart rate monitor stopped working. However I got a new Versa and it works great! No I’m not swimming with it but it works great for everything else!

Mine quit working also. I got in working again by doing factory reset and then letting it update which took about one hour. It has been a few days and appears to be okay now.

Good choice to pass on the Versa. I had same experience. Worst Customer Service ever. When will they acknowledge there is a problem with the Versa and steps the false advertising. The BPM does not work.

I gave up on fitbit since returning my versa. I waited after returning it to see if I wanted anything else from the fitbit line (or to hear better news about the versa), but I ended up realizing I want a more simple style geared towards the slightly more serious above average active person, so I went with Garmin. Plus, following the forums here, it still seems the same issues are occurring - and I've upped my workouts, so garmin's data tracking just helps me more in general. And! the band doesn't irritate me.

Good choice. Enjoy.

Had mine 2 months was fine for 1st 2 weeks then hr monitor went mad. Constant green flashing lights even when I'm not wearing it. Apparently I'm doing 600+ minutes of high intensity exercise per day and burning super  amounts of calories. Obviously not the case - contacted fitbit on every platform available and just keep being told they are aware of problem and working on it. No offer of replacement considering it's not fit for purpose, just a glorified watch which I didn't want. Wanted something to accurately monitor my stats. Very mad and disappointed but have no clue about next move. Any ideas anyone?

My Versa was working very well. I loved how it was taking my heart rate to a T!
However I did the unthinkable! I went swimming with it. It says it’s water proof to 50 meters! I went swimming for two minutes in my backyard pool. Then it died.
I resuscitated it . Reset it. Reinstalled the app reset to factory setting. The heart rate monitor and exercise tracker were in failure( no lights, no stats😪.
Some emailing to Fitbit done . No help.
Returned to Kohl’s.

Two weeks later I got a new Versa. Working well. Not dunking it in water. Ever!

Hi,
I've tried to return it from where I bought it but they just refer me onto fitbit who aren't helping at all. I'm uk so don't know if that makes any difference?

Yes, it makes. Difference when you’re in UK...no Kohl’s.
Fitbit customer service is great just keep on emailing them.

Have done but you're a star - been back through app and issue started after I'd been swimming for first time! I've emailed and tweeted them yet again!

I have a tattoo on my left wrist. That appears to be a problem though I'm not sure why it would be. If I turn the face so that it goes in the inside of my wrist, I get hb with no problem but I don't find it as comfortable. I had no idea a little tattoo would be such a problem for an electronic device!

Hi,
Think it's fact I went swimming - though this is what I bought it to track 🙈 someone else mentioned this and went back through stats and that's exactly when it started so now trying to get a replacement as not fit for purpose however not getting very far so thinking I've spent a lot of money on a watch as that's all it is now. Not a happy customer.
